For the third year in a row, California Pacific was recognized by the Leapfrog Group (PDF, 125KB) as one of the Top Hospitals in the nation for Quality and Safety. CPMC is one of just five hospitals nationwide to win the honor three years in succession.

The voluntary survey of 1,220 hospitals provides the most complete picture of hospital quality and safety available in the U.S. No other Bay Area hospital made the list.

In a news release to announce the results of the survey, Leah Binder, CEO of the Leapfrog Group said "Last year's Top Hospitals are all still excellent performers, but this year's class has taken additional steps to earn the right to be recognized as Top Hospitals."
