    Emotional and Informational Resources

The social workers at the Community Health Resource Center offer an array of direct and indirect services.

Email Kristy Buck, M.S.W. and email Scott Plymale, L.C.S.W., who have extensive experience in the field of psychotherapeutic counseling and resource and referral.

The services offered to the community are affordable and informative. CHRC offers support groups including; Caregivers' Café, Repetitive Strain Injury Support Group, Hepatitis C Support Group, and a Trichotillomania Support Group. In addition to the support groups, individual counseling is provided to community members on a sliding scale from $10-$80.

CHRC social work services are provided to a number of departments within the California Pacific Medical Center including; the Cystic Fibrosis Center and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center. Contact CHRC to make an appointment to meet with a social worker.

    Counseling Services

If you or your family members are experiencing emotional distress or obstacles that prevent you from obtaining your goals, we invite you to meet with our trained social workers for psychotherapy. In a safe and supportive environment, you and your therapist can explore challenges and reduce stress.

    Finding the Right Resources

After the initial shock of being diagnosed with a condition or an illness wears off, people are often bombarded with resources or do not know where to turn for assistance. Social workers at CHRC can help find the right resources for each individual during any life stage, whether his or her needs can be met at CHRC, within the community or through a governmental agency.
