Schwartz Center Rounds
Healing People Transforming Healthcare
Schwartz Center Rounds (SCR) began at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 1997 to provide a forum where caregivers from diverse disciplines could discuss important emotional and social issues that arise in caring for patients and themselves. The premise is that caregivers are better able to make meaningful connections with patients and to each other when they have greater awareness of and insight into their own personal responses and feelings.
Schwartz Center Rounds began at California Pacific Medical Center in January 2007. All CPMC caregivers are encouraged to attend including physicians, nurses, residents, chaplains, social workers, unit clerks and administration. For more information about SCR at California Pacific Medical Center, call Arlen Farley at (415) 600-1791 or email farleya@sutterhealth.org.
